Folklore Museum: Housed in a traditional two-storey building in Mandraki on the road leading to Spiliani Fortress, the museum contains traditional costumes, photographs, 
embroidery, icons, manuscripts, books, everyday household objects, hand-operated mills, old medical tools, large wooden chests, fishing tools, and an typewriter, camera 
and sewing machine.

Archaeological Museum: This museum is still being laid out in a newly erected building donated by the Giannidis Brothers and is expected to open its doors soon.

Libraries:
There is a Municipal Library in operation on Nissyros.
